Good News From Around the World.
Today we take a break from our travel through Bali so I can bring you some good news from around the world. So sit back and enjoy these good things you might not be aware of.
Experimental Nuclear Reactor Opens in Japan
Japan has strengthened its commitment to truly green energy by opening the world’s first Nuclear Fusion reactor. This also led to the generation of plasma. This is good because Nuclear Fusion is widely considered the ‘Holy Grail’ of clean energy. It mimics the power of the sun while having no emissions and no radiation. The best part about Fusion technology is that it creates more energy than it uses, making it the world’s most productive form of energy. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/japan-powers-up-worlds-largest-experimental-nuclear-reactor-and-generates-first-plasma/
Salmon Population Booms in California.
For the past ten years in San Jose, California there has been a massive effort to clean the rivers. This ten-year-long effort has now made the waters clean enough for the Salmon population to thrive in that area once again. Now you no longer have to go to Alaska to see the Salmon runs. https://www.watereducation.org/aquafornia-news/city-creeks-see-explosion-spawning-salmon-population-san-jose-after-10-years-habitat
Crane Operator Saves Man From Burning Building
crane operator Glen Edwards had a metal cage meant for holding people indenting to work on the facades of buildings, and it was with this that he affected the rescue of a man whom he only saw out of the corner of his eye because the stranded fellow was waving his coat about. The wind was really blowing the cage about, as well as the smoke. The Daily Mail reports that the cladding that covered the Station Hill housing development was filling the air with toxic fumes, which at the moment had been blowing away from the stranded man. If the winds changed, he could have suffered lethal smoke inhalation. Receiving help on the radio from his supervisor, Edwards skillfully lowered the cage next to the building close enough to allow the man to climb in, which created an eruption of cheers from the crowd below. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/reading-fire-crane-driver-glen-edwards-b2455547.html
