Zimbabwe: How Much a Trip Cost.

We’ve talked about the good, and we’ve talked about the bad. Now it’s time to tell you how much a trip to Zimbabwe will cost you. Let’s not waste any time, and just get right into it!
Airfare.
As usual, I will be pulling prices from LAX and JFK. I will then give you the cheapest, the most expensive, and the average price of each flight class.
Economy
The cheapest for Economy is out of JFK and is $1,100, the cheapest out of LAX is $1,400. The most expensive for Economy is $1,900 and is out of LAX. The most expensive out of JFK is the same price. What you should budget however is about $1,500 per person if you plan on flying economy. Beware, you are looking at a very long flight though.
Business
The business class seats jump up in price, as expected. The cheapest though is out of JFK and is $4,500 per person. The cheapest out of LAX is about 1 grand more, at $5,500. The most expensive is also out of JFK and is $11,000. The most expensive out of LAX is $7,800. If you plan on flying with this class you should budget $7,500 per person
First
Once again there seems to be an overlap in the price ranges with the cheapest first-class flights coming in at about $8,200 and that is out of JFK. So if you’ve budgeted 10k for your business class seat, look for a cheap first class before you book. The cheapest out of LAX isn’t that nice though and comes in at $10,500. The most expensive is much more expensive, with both airports coming in at about $16,000. So if you plan on flying this class, budget about $13,000
Hotels
There are many luxury hotels. But today I’m going to format this a little differently. First I will give you a price range of cheap, budget hotels with a few suggestions. Then I will give you the same for mid-range hotels, followed by luxury resorts, and how much all-inclusive will cost you.
Budget
Price range: $8- $20 per night. (please don’t cheap out and book the hotel that is $8 per night. It’s probably not safe.)
I’m not giving suggestions for any of these. I cannot in good faith recommend them. They all look sketchy, one even looks flooded. Don’t be this cheap.
Mid-Range
Price range: $40- $200

In this range, you do get some quality. And this hotel will only cost you about $65 per night. The name is captioned under the image.
Hornbill Lodge. Credit: Unknown
This is another option that is pretty nice. They have restaurants on sight, numerous rooms to choose from, wifi, and AC. You should expect to spend $120 per night to stay here.
Luxury
From Safari camps to Luxury all-inclusive resorts, you can expect to pay a pretty penny for these. They range from $400 to $2,000 a night and I’m sure you can find even more expensive than that.
Sian Simba River Lodge. Credit: Unknown
This resort is listed as all-inclusive and you will be right on the Zambezi River. But you are staying in a fancy tent. I don’t know if you consider that a pro or con, but you will be in a tent. They do have restaurants though. And it is on the cheaper side of the price range coming in at $450 a night.
Amalinda Lodge. Zimbabwe. Credit: Unknown
It looks like much of this hotel was simply carved into the rocks around it, which leads to unique rooms that you can’t find in other hotels around. It is also listed as an all-inclusive resort. But beware, you will pay top dollar to stay here since it costs about $1,500 per night.
Excursions.
Finally, it’s time to move on to excursions. Since we’ve talked about this before, I’m going to keep it short.
Safari’s
Look you’re in Africa, you’re going to do a safari. Don’t pretend like you won’t. You know you come here to see the animals. The price range for a Safari trip is about $50-$300 per person.
Victoria Falls.
You will also come here. It’s Zimbabwe’s biggest tourist attraction. a normal sightseeing tour can cost $20 per person, but helicopter tours are offered and cost $100 or more. You can also swim in the Devil’s pool which might cost you $200 per person.
Bungee jumping
After Victoria Falls you’re going to head over to the Victoria Falls Bridge and go bungee jumping, because why not? Expect to spend $220 per person.
Food and Drinks
Food and drinks can cost anywhere from $5- $80 per meal depending on the quality of restaurants you’re eating at. so budget about $35 per meal into your planning.
Total cost
After airfare, hotels, excursions, and food you should expect to spend anywhere from $3,000- $25,000 per person on your trip to this beautiful country.
In Conclusion
